Waste Ink Counter Reset for Canon MP190:
- Turn on the printer then press Menu-Copy-Scan-Copy-Copy to enter enter into SERVICE MODE.
- After enter into service mode, Select TEST MODE.
- Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE.
- Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR].
- Select 0. [INK COUNT] to reset the ink counter in the printer.
- Press the [Set] key.
- Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3), and then press the [ON/OFF] key

Thanks for the information! I usually have trouble knowing whether my office printer needs to be reset or if it needs to be repaired. It seems as though the tried and true method is to just try resetting it and see if that works at all. Would you advise anyone to try resetting their printer more than one time in case the first time doesn't work? I've noticed that sometimes my printer will work the second time after resetting it, but it won't work very well at all after that.
